Shadows of Desare
In shadows deep, I watch you fade, consumed by thoughts that never fade. Your smile once bright, now lost in gloom, as darkness settles in your room. You walk alone in a world of pain, haunted by demons you can't explain. I reach out to hold your hand, but you slip away like grains of sand. Your eyes betray the emptiness within, a silent scream, a hidden sin. You spiral down, I watch in dread, as you drown in thoughts inside your head. The weight you carry, heavy and dark, pulls you under, leaves its mark. I try to help, to ease your pain, but you push me away, again and again. Your laughter echoes hollow and cold, a facade you wear, a story untold. I see the scars that mar your skin, the battle outside, the war within. I plead with you to let me in, to share the burden, to break the spin. But you build walls, brick by brick, shutting me out with each cruel trick. I fear the day you'll slip away, beyond my reach, beyond the fray. The ache of watching you self-destruct, the agony of love that's all but stuck.
