Shadows of a Faded Dream
In the silence of night, a boy sits in thought, With dreams held like whispers, yet feeling distraught. His heart, a vast ocean of longing and pain, Each wave that crashes leaves him weary and drained. He chases the daylight, but shadows draw near, In the mirror of hopes, he sees only fear. Each effort he offers, a step that he takes, Only leads to the echoes of all of his mistakes. The laughter of friends feels like daggers to him, As he watches the world through a lens growing dim. With each passing moment, he questions his worth, In the garden of dreams, he feels lost in the earth. Yet somewhere deep inside, a flicker ignites, A spark in the darkness that challenges nights. He knows that the journey is fraught with despair, But perhaps in the struggle, there’s strength to be bare. He clutches his journal, the ink flows like tears, Pouring out stories, his hopes, and his fears. For every dark chapter, a lesson is learned, In the ashes of failure, the phoenix has turned. _"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts."_
