Shadows in the wind
A weight that presses on the chest, A quiet storm that never rests. The world outside is bright, but cold, While darkness creeps and takes its hold. Each step feels heavy, slow, and deep, Like waking up from endless sleep. A hollow echo in the soul, A sense of losing all control. The heart, though beating, feels alone, An aching in the marrow, bone. A battle fought that no one sees, Invisible, yet it won't cease. But through the storm, a flicker shines, A light that breaks through fractured lines. In fractured hearts, there's room to heal, The dark may rise, but light can feel real. Though shadows may return, take heed, The smallest spark can plant a seed. And in that seed, a hope can grow, A quiet strength, a soft hello. It’s hard to see, but still, you fight, Through endless days and sleepless nights. The weight may linger, slow and true, But you're not broken, you're just you.
