Shadows in my mind In the shadows of my mind, Lies a darkness so profound, It feels like a weight upon my soul, Dragging me further down, as i lose control, The whispers of despair, Echoing through my hollow chest, As I struggle to find a way, To silence this relentless pest, The tears that stain my pale face, My heart pumping at a staggering pace, Because of the pain that grips my heart, In a suffocating connection that tears me apart, Like a fire burning, raging within, I feel the emptiness consume me, The thoughts of ending my life begin to creep, I think they might win, For these thoughts are just to deep, For in the depths of my despair, I cannot find the strength to carry on, As the light begins to fade, I am sorry but i cannot keep the promises i made.
