Shadows I Don't Fight
I don't feel anymore, my heart stays cold, No flame to burn, no hand to hold. I've buried my stars deep in the night, Let shadows fall — I won't fight. No name I keep close, no soul I trust, All turns to ashes, all fades to dust. For every time I dared to care, I paid a price too hard to bear. So now I stand with walls so high, No tears to shed, no need to try. For feeling, hoping — all in vain, They only bring me back to pain. -BD
