Shadows Creep
In whispered darkness, fears reside A silent scream, my heart does hide Racing thoughts, like waves crash strong Drowning calm, where peace belongs A weight upon my chest does lie A heavy burden, hard to deny Each breath, a struggle to renew As anxiety's dark veil shines through Like autumn leaves, my hopes do fade As worries weave a relentless shade The world outside, a blur of gray As fears within, my soul do sway But still, I search for peaceful skies A refuge from life's turbulent sighs A place to calm my troubled mind And leave the shadows left behind In this turmoil, I'll find a way To face the fears that come each day To breathe, to calm, to stand anew And let the light shine through.
