Shadows at the door
I see my old friend depression out the window Knocking and begging me to open the door For in my living room sits darkness having a cup of tea Waiting for death to call for the night out of town Privileged eyes can't see imaginary friends For the dark haunts me who bear a shivering heart From the lights fading from my mother's eyes To the result of my mistakes sharpening my way As the blessed be those with peace in their train of thought I have lost track of my crashing intrusive thoughts For I desire the shrill sensation of pain nursing my mind I don't want peace without the headaching problems For there's no ocean without vast land of water And there's no storm without falling angels of lightning
