shadows
In shadows deep, my heart does dwell, A shattered vessel, I must conceal. No eyes shall glimpse my broken core, For I guard it close, forevermore. Within my soul, a love does burn, Yet with each beat, more cracks discern. For the harder I love, the more I break, A paradox, my heart's cruel ache. But silence veils my inner strife, A serious facade, hiding a fragile life. No one shall witness my shattered pieces, For vulnerability, my heart ceases. In solitude, I bear this heavy toll, A broken vessel, a wounded soul. Love's weight upon my fragile frame, A bittersweet torment, my heart's cruel game. So I remain hidden, my wounds unseen, A lonely guardian of what might have been. For in my brokenness, I find my strength, To love fiercely, despite its length. Though I'm broken, my soul's unrest, In love's pursuit, I give my best. A serious journey, a path unknown, For in embracing love, I find my own.
