Shadow Creep
Is this the end, or a twisted dream? A phantom's touch, or reality's scream? Does Death possess me, with skeletal hands? Or is it fear's grasp, in hidden lands? A cipher of darkness, that looms so tall, A raven's call, a foreboding sprawl. Is this the nightfall, where shadows creep? Or a treacherous path, too steep to keep? A haunting presence, that chills my core, A maze of uncertainty, forevermore. Is this the abyss, where souls do weep? Or broken slumber, from which I'll leap? A spectral figure, draped in ebony, A specter's dance, a twilight symphony. Is this the fate, I'm destined to bear? Or a mirage, testing my despair? A riddle whispered, in the midnight haze, A labyrinthine puzzle, through endless ways. Is this my demise, drawing ever near? Or a twisted mirage, distorting what's clear? A beckoning specter, with bony embrace, A veil of illusions, where shadows give chase. Is this the final chapter, my final breath? Or a phantasmagoria, where reality falls to death? In darkness I stand, unsure what may be, But in the unknown, I'll find strength to decree.
