Shadow and Light 2.
Through the clouds descends the luminary, The evening dyes the sky in purple, Day fades away, darkness has already arrived, With weak rays the sunset has cooled, And the shadow grows in the evening twilight. "Where will you go?"—sounds in gloomy longing, The light fades quietly, the stars call into the distance, And night enters its sovereign right, Hiding the sun in its dark refuge, Only the echo of the day trembles in its mind. The night scattered stars over the plain, The shadow looks up alone, The luminary sleeps beyond the distant, blue, The moon floats in a cold half-sleep, And the world is hushed in silvery shadow. But the shadow still waits, with unquenched dreams, For the return of the clear gaze of morning, "What has happened to you, sun, in the unseen hour?" The eternal cycle endures, days racing after days, And light and shadow will merge again in the heights.
