Shadow and Hope
In darkness, I searched for a hand but found instead a fierce and envious stand Eyes met mine with cold disdain shouts and screams, with no help gain Those I pronounce friends, with faces worn betrayed my trust, and left me torn Behind the shadows, they laughed and mocked with glee as I fall, a lone, in misery But still I stand, with tears singing aloud and whisper low, a desperate sigh yet in the darkness, a spark remains A flame of hope, that guides me through the pains, through every night, a dawn will rise and with each fall, I'll find my strength in cries
