Seven Sins
My love for you is like the seven sins. Like lust — your mouth was like a prayer that I prayed every night, A hungry fire that burned me every time I touched you. Like pride —we built a wall between us, Too arrogant to cry, too cold to comfort. Like envy — I watched you dance with someone else, wishing it was me. Like wrath — you broke me with one word and I burned all your letters. Like gluttony — I drowned in your charms, looking for breath in any gap. Like sloth — I left you waiting for me to do something, But as you already knew, nothing came of it. And finally, Like greed — I always wanted more from you, but I didn't want to give it back.
