In the depths of my heart, I found a poem, A raw expression of emotions, unadorned, For the pain you caused, the wounds you've sown, In each word and verse, my anguish is sworn. You sit there, as if I need you in my life, But I remember the names you called me, The lies you told, cutting like a knife, And the promises made, now shattered debris. I won't be silenced, I won't be subdued, For the time for forgiveness has long passed, You've broken trust, and it can't be renewed, So now, my anger is unleashed, steadfast. I say it loud, and I say it clear, To you, I utter these words, bold and strong, With every hurtful act, you've made it clear, That your presence in my life was all wrong. So, with a resolute heart, I bid you adieu, The pain you caused, I now leave behind, The wounds will heal, and I'll start anew, For in my strength, a new path I will find. So, farewell to you, it's too late to atone, Your actions have spoken, and I now see, I'll move forward, leaving you alone, With this poem, I set myself free. Romique
