sense blues
If all the stars were to extinguish tonight Id say a prayer for lack of sight But know that yours would shine so bright Id prop you at my window If all the birds songs suddenly stopped As if my head had been neatly chopped And my ears on the cold earth cropped that would be a sin though. If the distance became too far Nor plane, or train or bus or car Could deliver me to your repertoire Of calming by your contact If the sweet aroma of flowers Suddenly lost their scent and soured Then even that would lose its power The world would be less compact And if my tongue lost its taste Id become a waist, a senseless waste One day id vanish without a trace Or make a crossroads contract.
