Self, Heart, and soul
Late night ramblings of my muse, My soul and my heart debate, They are at a battle of wits, as I soon find it's getting late. And deep into the night the banter, back and forth, at best- Until my mind can no longer dictate, it's in dire need of rest. And as it lays its pen down and it's notepad on the shelf, The battle screams on into dawn, and I toss and turn, unable to sleep for my self. And into the midst of day break it goes, and my soul blocks my hearts volatile blows. I can get no rest or peace, and I referee to ensure it will cease. It takes it's toll... We are all bloody and weary... self, heart and soul...
