Self-Hatred
In the mirror, I saw a face Full of self-loathing and shame Every flaw, every mistake Causing pain in my heart I criticize and scold Myself, I can't escape The voice inside my head I was filled with dread I hope I love The person I am Because it's consumed by self-hatred Like fire, smoldering I long for acceptance And inner peace But every time I try to find Self-loathing prevails.
