Self Harm Scars
I don't want my scars to fade. They remind me of every time I almost didn't live another day. Of every time I was stronger than the voices in my head. Without the scars, I'd be dead. So maybe they're ugly. Maybe that's true. But just know, that I didn't do them for the likes of you. I didn't want others to hurt me, so I did it for myself. I was scared of rejection, so I never asked for any help. I don't want my scars to fade. Each one has made me this way. The scarred skin, has become a shield. My own cracked armor for when life becomes a war field.
