SELF ESTEEM

What is self-esteem itself? Oh, it is your self-conceptualization. To me, it is your life’s possession. You can make it high or low— It is within you, says the peak. A young Black fellow Can become his own freak If his esteem is high. He can achieve his desire If he thinks outside the box; Doing so gives him an edge Over both allies and foes. It’s like hitting a sledge Against negative thoughts. You are a slave aspiring to a king’s slot— Don’t let your dream Flow away with the stream. Hello! Doing that shows low esteem. Don’t set it on fire, But turn it into fire— Fire that can burn any destroyer. Aspire to acquire your wishes; Don’t always think about your dish. We were born to rule, Not to be drawn like a bull.
