Self-Centered, Not Selfish
I am not selfish, but I do prioritize, The needs within that I recognize. I guard my heart, I nurture my soul, For in self-care, I find my whole. Being self-centered isn't wrong, It’s knowing where my strengths belong. I focus on growth, on inner peace, So I can give, without a lease. I value others, but I must first see, The importance of caring for me. For how can I give, how can I share, If my own well-being is threadbare? So understand, it’s not neglect, But a deep-rooted self-respect. I’m not selfish, just self-aware, In my own center, I find my care.
