Sehnsucht
I stare as the world skips by, lost in daydreams of imaginary worlds, swords and magic, heroes, gods, and the supernatural. I wish with all my heart they truly existed, erasing myself in every character, then pitying myself for sleeping and waking to a world where nothing ever happens, drowning in fan fictions I wish were real. But reality crashes through the moonbeam, dragging me back into its practiced monotony. I don’t want to wake up at thirty with no story to tell. Yet I walk through life on training wheels, over padded carpets, hiding in a bunker I built myself.
