Seaside Seesaw
I know a little sandy beach not far from where I used to stay. And I used to go there often just to pass some time away. It had a little playground that I was so fond of, because it was the kind of place I know my kids would love. I could see the glistening waves through the seesaw and the swing. And could smell the sea-salt air on the wind the ocean brings. I could see the caps of swirling waves as the rolling swells strolled in, to thin out upon the shoreline, and march back out again. The seesaw stood aloof between the old slide and the swing. It appeared a dragonfly that from the sand would spring. I can visualize the children as they seesaw up and down and the squawking of the seagulls as they swirl 'round and 'round. I hear the children's laughter as they teeter and they sway. I wish they would play forever, but I know that they won't stay. I so love that windy beach tucked into that sandy shore and long to see the playground with the children there once more.
