Searching for my father
My father, this unknown man A mystery etched in my soul A figure in shadows, a ghost in the night His absence a heavy toll I search for him in memories In faded photographs and stories But he remains elusive, a phantom Lost to time, lost to me I wonder what he looks like What his voice sounds like If he ever thinks of me Or if I'm just a distant memory I try to piece together Bits and fragments of a life But the puzzle never quite fits And I'm left with unanswered questions Did he love me, this unknown man? Did he hold me in his arms And whisper sweet nothings in my ear? Or did he leave me before I could even know him? My father, this unknown man A void in my existence I yearn for his presence, his guidance But he remains forever out of reach I'll never know the truth Of who he was, of who I am But in my heart, I hold onto hope That someday, somehow, we'll find each other again Until then, I'll carry his memory In the whispers of the wind In the warmth of the sun In the beating of my heart My father, this unknown man I'll never stop searching For the missing piece of me For the missing piece of him.
