Sea on rocks
These days I find myself missing... Missing the sting of tears down my face The static in my ears; the ring Such feelings that label me human But as I sit here Hollow as I am these days The static rolls in with tide As the salty sea stings my eyes The rush of hot water violating my lungs Limbs should be thrashing as I drown... But as the tears roll down my face I sit oh so still. They roll down like sea crashing on rock Maybe I found my place As I sit here on the dock Maybe I am human Maybe this is healing Maybe tide doesn't always mean drowning As the first sweet tear squeezes out my eye The first in forever The first true emotion shown in years I find waves no longer hurt my ears I've never missed something more.
