Sea
The nights have started to get longer and longer my thoughts spinning but still so quiet My mind lingering like the the waves on the ocean always there never gone just quieter sometimes The tides pull at the edges of sleep dragging secrets from the deep patterns etched in shifting foam searching for a way back home Though the surface might look still the currents move against my will a rhythmic pulse, a steady beat where the dark and silence meet where the dark and silence merge into a restless sea holding all that used to be until the morning breaks the spell and brings me back to myself
