SCENTED MEMORIES.
A narrow lane, fenced on either side, With bamboo and overgrown, wild green, Soaked in the wetness of heavy rain. The whole landscape sits bathed fresh, Wearing the deepened contrast. In the dampness, exuding happiness, Everything tender sprouts its roots, Like long-lost memories, And my love for you. A faint scent of new bags and snack boxes, Colourful umbrellas in quiet competition. Shuttered dark inside of a school bus, Children howling and jumping around in glee, While at the back, quiet lovers hold hands Etching memories in the downpour That rains along with every rain. Again and again. ©qavyette
