scars,shadows and solace
She looked into my eyes calm, steady, and full of knowing. "Your fears," she said, "are ghosts you’ve fed too long. The weight you carry isn’t yours alone you’ve been punishing yourself for wounds you never gave." But I saw it the quiet ache in her gaze, like her eyes were holding back storms. Your sorrows are mine now, they seemed to whisper. “Look,” she said, pulling back the veil of time, “These scars… they’re from the wars I fought when the world was just as cruel to me. But I made it through not to escape, but to leave you a path.” “A place where your feet won't bleed. A place where shadows mean shelter, not fear. For he who dwells beneath the throne will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” "Do not let go of His hands they will hold you through the storm. Do not let go of His word it will quiet every unrested place within. Let not your gaze stray from His face, for even in your flaws, and in the moments you get it right, He will not give up on you just as I never will." And in her voice, I found a home for every broken piece of me.
