Scars on my bones
Is loving too much enough to let you go so unbelievable? Because that is how I feel, Like this love is overflowing And because you are not here, it is starting to pierce my soul Your absence leaves scars on my bones Scars that may never heal And I hate that you might hate me Because you might think I don't love you anymore We used to communicate through unspoken words But now your eyes can't look into mine, you cannot know my thoughts! That maybe I'm breaking, Maybe I'm hurting Maybe this distance between us drags me to hell Maybe I think I'd be better off dead You cannot see the pain that I mask every single day Smiling so that I do not give away So that the tears don't fall So that I pretend that I'm strong I can't see you cry every night in your bed Or smile saying that I've done what's best I hate that I cannot hug you Kiss you and tell you that I'll be next to you forever Because the truth is I won't And that leaves scars on my bones.
