Scars of Starlight* by Jack A.S. Dunce I feel the warmth that's creeping in From places far removed from me, Those I've walked through and found ruin, That brought all of me to my knees. They taught the hardest of lessons. A voyage planned around a star Without the slightest of reasons; Absent the doubts borne by the scars. A light that's so steadfast and bright You'd be convinced it points true north And everything would be alright Despite the shadows looming forth.
