"Scars in the Stars"
A 5-year-old girl, with a heart so bright, Lived in a home that was a constant fight. But amidst the chaos, she'd often escape, To gaze at the stars, with a sorrowful face. She'd cry to the stars, with a whisper so low, Afraid of the voices, the screams, and the woe. The roars, the cries, the sighs, they all blended as one, A symphony of pain, that had just begun. She'd reach out for hands, that would comfort and guide, But they'd push her away, leaving her to hide. Yet still she'd try, with a heart so true, Hoping that someday, someone would see her through. But one day she decided, to keep her hand to herself, To rely on no one, to find her own wealth. And when she was drowning, in a sea of despair, She still wouldn't reach out, with a hand that would dare. Now she's still just 5, with a heart still so bright, But will she ever trust, to raise her hand in sight? Or will the scars of her past, forever remain? Only time will tell, but for now, she'll keep her hand in chains.
