Scarecrow Ledge Know
Walking down a deserted road I come to a fork, where there's a scarecrow I ask him if he can see with his eyes Which is the path where the truth lies? 'Let me think with my straw brain', he replies 'That's a very good question', he hesitates, confused His straw ego, now diminished, it's bruised He tells me 'It lies within the proof That a lie never lies within the truth My sleeves, what are filled with hay Never, will they ever lead you astray Never will they lead you not to be found So highly un-lifelike, so safe and so sound You can count on it, like a gram is a pound' Just then, with no wind, he turned completely around 'Thank you' I said, 'for being so vaguely clear Your limbs point, to both there and to here I've decided that I already knew which way was right I didn't need anyone else's help, or insight' He waved goodbye, almost losing arm at a joint Touched a finger to his head deep thinking and said... 'I knew that.... that was my point'
