Scar of Love
Alexithymia, my lack of self-expression So for once I'll tell you my thoughts The way that they are brought up Like a simple confession. I know the love I have for you. The beauty of your eyes. The sweetness in your lies. Just like I know the pain of losing you. You showed mercy in your words. Covered by poison as you took turns. Stabbing my heart with lovely promises. Telling all of your accomplices. I'm to blame for my blood staining your hands. My love for you can never be forgotten for scars that cut so deep never heal properly. But hiding scars you gave me became the norm like I was your property. Never complaining to your betrayals to see how much pain I could withstand. I forgive my heart for loving you. Though dreams, memories, and promises linger around. Especially when I'm alone with nothing but silence as a sound. I forgive it for not being able to forget you.
