Say
Say, could I not have been wronger? You said I should stay But I couldn't any longer. Too many schnapps, I had to move on girl. I thought you too beautiful and kind girl. That's how you drove me from my mind girl. And I would have died. I couldn't breathe to save my life; You stole my heart, You stole my breath, or I would have cried. I had to run! I had to hide. Afraid, But the night would soon be over. 'Though you tried to gently remove my doubt, my heart couldn't release me, to do what I pleased to: So I had to get out; I had to get away from that emotional squeeze too. And today, is the day after. Foremost in my mind is the fun and the laughter. The smell on my clothes is old cigarettes; the feel in my heart is of no few regrets. But there's hope there too, that I'll still find you, again. Say, could I not have been wronger?
