Salvation
Under persecution of my faith, I found refuge in my soul. There is a lamp to light the path, and it has a heavenly glow. Where snares and traps are baited with deceit, It provides grace for traveling feet. You hear my prayers whispered softly, Although my soul is content. I believe in a man that died, Simply to provide protection and hold my hand. Though some might call me braisen and some may call me bold- Deflecting stones that pass me by, to him I shall tightly hold. And in times of desperation, In loneliness and despair- It is he that fills my lungs with precious oxygen-rich air. He gives me strength and hope, that I might stop and rest, For this life is full of exams- and I must strive to do my best. For who can be against me, if I place my trust in his mighty hand? Precious time is running out, and the hourglass holds little sand. I can die peacefully and leave my own indentation- For I have seen the face of he, God's gift for Man's Salvation.
