Safe Place
When people tell me not to think about it, or to just get over it, I'm jealous of their blissful ignorance. For some of us, it's not so easy. For some of us, the melancholy is ingrained in our very being. Some of us have seen far more bad than good. For some of us, every time we let our guard down just to be happy, we are crushed in the end. And the sorrow grows stronger. For some of us, happiness is more uncomfortable than sorrow. For we know all good things must come to an end. And I'd rather accept that then let a false sense of happiness end me. Sorrow is the only thing I know will always be there in the end. For sorrow is my Safe Place.
