In shadows cast by sorrow's veil, A tale of anguish does prevail. You cannot yield, can't admit the wrong, Yet deep within, the truth is strong. Words unspoken, heavy with regret, A tangled web, we can't forget. You let me down, your silence screams, Betrayal lingers in broken dreams. Through tear-stained eyes, I see the pain, A heart divided, tethered by disdain. Your pride, a fortress, stands tall and true, But love, it withers in the wake of you. Oh, the words you say to me, Like daggers sharp, they pierce and bleed. But beneath the anger, I discern the ache, The ache of a soul that's lost its way. Sadly, we dance this tragic tune, A symphony of hearts, forever marooned. I long for solace, for a gentle touch, But your walls remain, unyielding, clutch. Yet amidst the darkness, a glimmer remains, A flicker of hope, a chance to reclaim. For love's resilience, it knows no bounds, In forgiveness, redemption can be found. So let us face our demons, hand in hand, Embrace the pain, and together we'll stand. For in admitting wrong, we find our strength, And heal the wounds that lingered, at length.
