Sacred Words
When I look at you, I don't just see another person. I see someone of immeasurable worth, someone made in the image of God. That changes how I speak to you. Your heart is too valuable for careless words. Your dignity is too sacred for me to use truth as a weapon. So if I correct you, I do it with love. If I encourage you, I mean it. If I speak, I want my words to leave you more whole than they found you. Because when I remember whose image you bear, I cannot afford to treat you casually.
