Run Back to Him
From the day I could wonder I reminisced on my death I forgot what it feels like To fall With nowhere to be And nowhere to go Try as I might As long as I still can I always wanted to fall To feel everything but nothing Engulfing my body As much as my will to go on I won't dive head first I didn't wish for this to happen But I'll savor this moment Looking down on the world Just like you looked down on me Feel the warmth of the sun on my skin The cool air rushing past me The misty clouds I always thought you were up here Looking down on your creation But I was just a kid when I saw you I wonder what will happen Once my last moments are over And I'm nothing but a memory Will God resent me For greeting him with open arms After everything I've done? For embracing death? For looking up at the sun With a smile As I pass through the clouds Just like how I always Knew I would? My last breath My last words Are dedicated to you But my thoughts Will always Run back to him I know you'd send me away After everything I've done Watch me fall once more Down through the air and sun and clouds Down to the ground Down into the ground Where my soul will suffer Until eternity
