Rules
The preachers say you will find happiness and love in God. But all I have ever found is hatred, unnecessary sacrifices, and rules. Rules I can never seem to follow. Rules sound like suggestions. Rules feel like my depression. Because, when summer comes, there are no rules I have to abide by. Rules I don't need. Rules are what preachers feed to unknowing children who will feed to their children, and their children, and their children, and, for decades, this goes on and on. Because rules make people feel safe and gives a false sense of security. I hate rules. I say that and you think I hate the nonexistent man you pray to. The guy that swears he's there for you but when you really need him...where has he gone? To the depths of nowhere. Because he is a phony. Because he is not who he says he is. -The lover
