Routine
It's a routine. I move on. I tell friends about the guy I've been talking to that week, and somehow it gets back to you You're nice to me. Maybe a little too much. Falling back into the routine, we have become a custom to the past year. Staying late talking, getting dinner together, sharing secrets and past memories, we had not told anyone else. No communication. I send a message that you ignore. Life's busy, pulling us in separate directions. The dreaded group hangout. I see you. Making conversation, making me the joke of everything everyone laughs about. I pull away. I distance myself from you. How could I have been so nieve to think you had changed this time? That something will be different this time around. I move on. I tell friends about the guy I've been talking to that week, and somehow it gets back to you.
