Rot of Love
In shadows deep, where secrets seep, A heart once whole begins to weep, A poisoned kiss, a venomous bite, Love whispers death in the dead of night.Veins entwine like thorny chains, Searing blood with ghostly pains, A lover’s touch, so soft, so vile, A graveyard grin, a serpent’s smile. The pulse slows down to mournful beat, Bones crack under passion’s heat, A thousand knives in silken threads, Carving dreams of twisted dreads.Eyes that gleam with hollow light, Reflect the end of endless night, In every breath, a final sigh, Love becomes the reason why.The soul decays with every kiss, A slow descent into the abyss, Where roses black and roses red, Bloom in silence for the dead.Yet in the dark, where horrors dwell, Love sings a siren’s lull to hell, And though it burns, it scars, it stains, We yearn to dance in its bloodied chains. For love is death, and death is sweet, In graves we find where lovers meet, To hold, to crush, to rot away, In the arms of love, we fade to gray.
