Rooh
If I were the wind that breathes life into clay, would you be the vessel that holds the rooh? If I were the sky cradling stars and moon, would you be the sun casting shadows within? If I were to fly through the never-ending void, would you be the question I could never answer in between? And if the fates wrote our names together, would you embrace what I have become? Would you be the song I have never heard, or the riddle that has longed for its answer? And when it all ends, when everything unfolds, would you hold my hand and stay? When the rains fall and storms take the stage, would you be the shelter where birds may rest? And when it all comes down to you and me, let it be as I rest in your lap. For in you, I see those beloved eyes that make me believe there is a Lord to kneel to — to pray, to weep, to prostrate in awe. My beloved’s eyes are the Lord’s magnificence. As sands long for the waves’ embrace, my dreams search for your smile. For in you, I see myself; and in me, I see nothing of mine.
