Rome Burning
Captured by grace, released by hope, The hanging man dangles from a perilous rope. The death card lingers onto my right, An upside down card is all but my plight. Shamed and abashed the lovers on the left. Flipped right side up and my hands moved with deft. With sweaty palms I read what I read. Nothing good comes as I cry and I plead. It's all on the cards and written all over my face. The dreaded past, present, future are full of disgrace. There's some sort of meaning to their ideology. However, it's smoke and mirrors and fake mythology. So I burn and I burn and I burn every single one, Because for me there's never anything new under the sun.
