Road to nowhere
The road to nowhere isn't on a map Although it is real It's a straight stretch downhill And ends where time stands still It's eerie and it's vagrant A town where many go Yet if you ask where to find them The locals will say they don't know It's the place where nothing happens Where from few rarely return A place of misery and wildfire Consumes everything to burn I can't tell you how many miles or the time it takes to arrive Nor can many others, They simply don't come back alive I suppose for some it's a journey and takes a lot of time While others speed like demons there Like it's their finish line... With unmarked roads and no maps no phone signal or gps and not one filling station, in sight I'd imagine it's difficult to find your way back out It's not a place you'd ever want to travel for fun or to find out what life's all about
