RIGHT WHEN IT RAINS...
The drops on my palm, And the echoes of rain, I stand on the platform, And you're on the leaving train. The clouds are dull, The scene so tranquil, The silence in the moment, Both our souls can feel. The rumble of the train, As it catches pace, The realisation strikes me then, That I lost the race. The love residing in me, And the unbearable pain, The flashbacks hit my mind, As if they're raised in rain. As the train leaves, I know I lost you at the end, What I lost was beyond love, Yes, I lost my closest friend. Today's the last goodbye, And I wear the widest smile. I know you'll comeback someday, And I know this wait is worthwhile. ~ I stood there in silence, For the rest of the day, I couldn't accept the fact that, Then you're finally away. And even now when I look back, The path left behind I trace, Because no matter how hard I try, It's you I can't replace. And I still visit the station, And even now I dream, I dream for you to come back, For you I can confront the extreme. And still whenever it rains, The memories hit me hard, The memories bring you back, And the moments we both shared. ~ Sid
