It seemed to him, he had failed again, He felt an emptiness, as he held her one last time, And he whispered gently into her ears, Trying not to shed a tear, The right song, the wrong crowd, The right poem, the wrong audience, The right person, the wrong time, He felt like he had been stabbed, Bleeding profusely, light dimming from his eyes, His heart crashed, trampled upon, By that who he trusted, she who he called home, But still he smiled, ear to ear, To signify a calm, yet a storm brewed within, And so it dawned on him, Even the Devil, was once an Angel.......
