REVOLUTIONARY VOTES
I write to infuse fear into your bloodstream So that your silence can give out a loud scream Elections are clamouring the people's actions. Politics seems to smile with wicked ambitions. Our children will keep learning under the trees Scared of terrorism and the harmattan breeze If we don't rise and let our voices count our votes. Or, haven't our silence long suffered misquotes? Let's slay apprehension in our curiousness As tomorrow looms with undiluted suspense Let's be desperate for a good administration. Against false oaths, let our votes lead the revolution. ©John Ettah | February 2022
