Reunion With Memories
Perhaps the reunion is with old feelings, not with the one who made me feel them. The reunion is with the intensity with which the heart surrendered without caution. The reunion is with the eyes that shone and smiled, along with the open smile upon seeing the person who was the reason for joy. It's with the accelerated heartbeat that now has no reason, and not with the one who made me truly feel what is now a memory. And I feel that my chest still burns with hope, waiting for someone who will never return. The reunion is with the longing for what I cannot relive. With what I cannot feel and never thinks of seeking, because that feeling was mine alone and always remains so.
