Resurrection
I crawled from the ashes of what we were, A twisted love, a bitter blur, Your words, like poison, in my veins, Left scars that whispered endless pains. At first, I staggered through the night, Lost in shadows, void of light, Your ghost still clinging to my skin, A haunting echo deep within. But with each step, the grip released, The chains you forged began to cease, And though the road was sharp and long, I found the strength to carry on.Your voice, once loud, now fades to dust, Your memory, brittle, begins to rust, The wounds you left, they slowly heal, A broken heart learns how to feel.In the silence, I hear my own, A voice reclaimed, a strength I've grown, The darkness fades, a new day breaks, From shattered pieces, life awakes. It’s not a path that’s walked in haste, Nor scars erased without a trace, But step by step, the pain recedes, And hope, like flowers, sprouts from seeds. Now I stand where once I fell, A story only time can tell, For though the scars may always stay, They remind me of a brighter day.
