Restricted Love
I should have logged off when I could, or perhaps let it be— like droplets of scrolling on a rainy night, racing down my screen, leaving their marks on my mind. I should have listened, and truly lived, yet I succumbed to its endless pull. Slowly, swiftly, I became part of the scroll, and then the scales fell from my eyes. Like autumn leaves, I withered away, my life once full, now an empty space. I should have let go, but the feed held me still, a bittersweet whisper of time that could never be reclaimed. © Olukorede Jumoke
