Rest Mood
Since morning's early, golden light I've been lying down, without a fight Tiredness wraps me in its gentle hold I'm done with energy, my body's cold The world outside is full of cheer But I'm stuck here, my bed's my gear I'm tired, I'm tired, it's plain to see Of everything, just let me be My pillow's soft, my blanket's warm I'm in a haze, no need to form A plan, a thought, a single deed Just rest, and let my body heed The morning sun, the afternoon's sway Can't rouse me, I'm here to stay In this cozy nest, I'll rest my head And let my tired body drift to bed.
